New Management We visited here on a Sunday afternoon and I hadn't been back because several years ago, when I tried an old childhood restaurant, the food was not good. However, when we returned, we were told the owners changed, they added a few new items to the menu like the pictures seafood dish and the jjajangmyun was delicious. It wasnot dry at all, full of seasoning and sauce. The noodles were bounch and tasted fresh. Try some of their off the menu items written on the wall. Lots of fresh seafood and vegetables. Plus the sauce was delicious and savory.

It went well at Sam Won Gahk in Bayside Northern BLVD. The foods are super terrific. It's always when I go there and eat the Korean style Sweet Sour and Pork and Brown Bean Noodle.

This Korean-Chinese fusion restaurant does Chinese food better than Chinese restaurants do. Their food isn't overly salty, oily, or with MSG. I.LOVE.THIS.PLACE. An ode for you, Sam Won Gahk. Oh chicken with broccoli, how thy flavors meld, In each tender bite, a story is held. The crunch of the broccoli, the savory chicken, A perfect harmony that leaves me smitten. Hot sour soup, a symphony in a bowl, Each spoonful warms my body and soul. Tangy and spicy, comforting and bold, A taste sensation to behold. Seafood fried rice, a masterpiece divine, Shrimp, scallops, and fish all entwine. Mixed with vegetables and fluffy white rice, A dish so delicious, it's like paradise. Sweet and sour chicken on my plate so grand, Crispy coated pieces that I can't withstand. The tangy sauce with just the right kick, Leaves me craving every last lick. Best restaurant ever where these dishes reside, Where culinary art does abide. Everyone should go there to savor the delight, And bask in the flavors that dance through the night.

Good place. Nice food. Chinese and Korean mix. Another location on 144-20 Northern Blvd Flushing New York, 11354 near Parson Blvd right before Great Wall Supermarket. (大中華超市) Never been here before. They speak Korean and the menu is in Chinese and Korean language. The restaurant sign is Korean, Chinese and English language. Use both entrance to get inside the restaurant if Park in the back or park on street or somewhere else.

Classic. Sam Won Gak -Bayside- is old school Korean Style-Chinese in all the right, delicious ways. The restaurant is brightly lit, and clean. Decor is 90's style Asian American Living Room - think lots of wood, landscape paintings, and usually some community program on the tv. So yes, not exactly romantic but it is nostalgic as if you're visiting your parents or grandparents home. Now, the service is no frills, but not unfriendly. Also, it's nice to see that employees seem long-term; which say's good things about management. This time I went on a rainy night so I ordered Noodles with Chop Suey Soup (Jjampong) because I really craved something with broth. The noodle soup definitely hit the spot. It was savory, not too spicy loaded with vegetables and some seafood (largely squid, shrimp, etc.). My group also ordered their famous Shrimp with Pepper and Garlic Sauce which tasted fresh, sweet and slightly vinegary. Needless to say, it was a hit and consumed in marathon speed. Their fried dumplings seemed to have changed- but for the better. They're bigger, a bit doughy, crisp and you can really taste (I think) the chives. Of course, all the dishes come with little servings of kim-chi, raw onion, yellow beets, and undiluted Black bean sauce. My family and I have been going here for years now, and though a lot has changed in the neighborhood, this establishment has been in a positive way pretty consistent in terms of food, service and management. Also, kudos for actually having a parking lot!- though yes, during the weekends and holidays it can get busy. Still, this is a place to try especially if you like good comfort food and Korean dramas (ever seen one where black bean noodles aren't eaten at least once by the characters?)

Been coming here for a while and love the food. They have a great lunch special which is basically a combo of noodles with some other dish of meat or vegetables. The servers are very attentive and fast. The place is pretty wide and there are a good amount of seats even for larger parties. Can't wait for my next lunch visit here. Amazing food, truly.

I came here for lunch with my wife and her family. I am not a big Korean food fan because noodles and spicy food are not my things, But my wife says this place is good and I had to give it a try. And most of the dishes we ordered were noodles. I got a little taste of some of the noodle soups and thought there were okay. I thought the shrimp dish we ordered was good, and I enjoyed the side kimchi dishes. The service was as excellent as the food came out quickly and hot. Price-wise it's reasonable to compare with other restaurants in the area.
